The First 100 Days
Iron Fox Games just last week passed the 100 days old mark. A lot of fuss is made around setting the tone of your business, a presidency, starting a new job, moving to a new place in the first 100 days.
So far, it feels like 10 days, and 1000 all wrapped into one.
Looking back at what we wanted to accomplish in 1 year, we were able to do almost all of it in just over 3 months.
I’ve been trying to make sure that I move the needle everyday just a little bit, and it seems to be working. The 1% compounding principle.
So what have we accomplished?
We’re officially registered and hired people in three separate provinces. PEI. NB. NS.
We’ve signed two major contracts with clients to deliver outstanding quality products and games.
Bootstrapped the company and hired 12 people.
Took on a summer intern from UPEI. Who is killing it for us!
Launched our website, relaunched the website a second time, and are now working on a 3rd iteration.
Held a launch party that was attended by over 100 people and was a home coming for a lot of the local game dev scene.
Grew to the second largest game development studio based out of PEI.
Built and shaped our voice around our values, vibes and vision that has resonated with all of our staff and applicants.
Met with multiple VCs, potential investors and mentors.
Building this thing has been a dream in the back of a few of our heads for quite a long time. 14+ years of learning, shipping, making mistakes, building relationships and following through with our promises has so far paid off.
I can’t wait to see what the next 100 days looks like.
There is an insane amount of stuff we don’t know, we’re going to make a lot of mistakes, but I’m confident that we’re going in the right direction and finding the right people to come along for this ride with us.
We’re hiring. Still looking for partners who want to build with us.
